My First Bachelorette Party…

My 1stBacheloretteParty

Hello, lovelies! I’m sorry I didn’t post last Sunday like I normally do… I was enjoying my first bachelorette party!🎉

In my masters program, we have a cohort of about 9 girls and 3 guys. Well out of us 9 girls, 4 of us are getting married! WOO! And my (already married) super thoughtful classmates decided to host a bachelorette weekend for us soon-to-be brides.👰🏼

The game plan was to go “glamping”. Glamping is glamorous camping… A.K.A. air conditioning!!! But you know, sometimes game plans don’t always go as planned. And when life gives you lemons- you make lemonade.🍋

Friday Night we hauled the RV out to the campsite and hooked it all up. We were putting all our stuff inside when we realized the air conditioning was not working?! And it was HOT outside. All of us girls grilled out burgers while we called some people to check out the camper. No one could figure out what was wrong with it. We ate dinner at the campsite and then ultimately decided to go back to the house and continue the party “slumber party style”!

I have to tell you that I was not disappointed about this because I have not had a slumber party in A LONG TIME! We lounged around, drank wine, played some girly board games, and ate tons of food. It was a successful night.

Saturday we woke up and took our time getting ready. The hosts of the party got us the cutest monogrammed t-shirts (brides wore white and everyone else wore black), they also made us wine glasses with our new last names on them, and homemade bug spray! It was all so cute and super appropriate for our weekend festivities.

After we got ready we headed out to lunch. We ate at O’Charley’s and then made our way to this really cool wine festival that was in town. We got to sample tons of different wines and we even took a tour of the cellars to see how it was all made.🍷

When we went got back to the house Saturday evening, I packed my stuff up and headed home.

It was a whirlwind of a weekend, but I had a blast. I am so lucky to have such thoughtful and kind women in my life. Thank you ladies for throwing a bachelorette weekend I’ll never forget!💘💍👯‍♀️👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

  1. This sounds like such a good bachelorette party – a change from the traditional get drunk and make a fool of yourself! A classy party like the one I would want to have when I get married. xx

  2. This looks like so much fun! I am also getting married (woohoo for the soon to be Mrs!!) and I struggled with what kind of bachelorette party I would want. I’m not too rowdy and really respect my guy, but I still want to have fun and this looks like the best of both worlds!
    Thanks for sharing!
